Here in Australia you use icing sugar to decorate cakes, and cakes decorating is very important for you.

In France we wouldn't ice a home baked cake, and pastry chef would use marzipan,chocolate,etc...

One of my friends in her pastry shop in Paris starts to decorate her cakes differently, she uses edible paper that she prints with any photo you could give to her
